Circles

Have you ever just felt like you were going in circles. I mean you are good one moment, but then something happens, and it feels like you are back where you started? You want to progress in life, but you just don’t understand why you keep going in the same circle.

For me there are two areas in my life where I always felt like I kept going in circles, those areas are finances and relationships.

When it came to my money, I felt like I had to hold on to it, because in all honesty I never really knew when I would get more money. I was raised by a single mother and sometimes she didn’t have the extra to give me.

So, in high school I worked two jobs that way I could help with bills and have a few dollars to do stuff with my friends. But I never understood why was I always broke? No matter how much I worked I never had any money. It was like money just flew away from me. Sometimes I didn't even remember spending it.

As I got older nothing changed, I was always broke. I worked a decent job, but I still never had any money. I even started making plans for my money, but the plans didn’t work, and I would still be broke.

That’s when I realized, sometimes we go in circles because we keep missing the lesson God is trying to teach us!

I believe in life we have test and if you don’t pass the test the first time you have to retake it, if you fail again you must retake it again. We have to keep retaking the same test until we pass. Which makes us feel like we are going in a circle.

The thing is.. God can’t level us up until we pass the test!

When it came to money, I learned that if I pay my tithes my money will grow, and I don’t spend it as fast. That was the lesson I had to learn in order to stop going in a circle with my finances. I wasn’t giving God his portion, so why would he bless me with more? Now that God knows he can trust me with a little, he can bless me with more.

When it comes to relationships, for a while I dealt with a lot of stuff because I wanted to be loved and I wanted someone to call my own. But I noticed all my relationships would start off great and then things would go left, and everything would fall apart.

Honestly, it took me a long time to learn what I needed to learn to move on to better relationships, that’s probably why I am still single lol because I literally just mastered this level in my life.

When it comes to relationships, I have to make sure I am still focused on God and that I don’t allow any relationship to sidetrack me from fulfilling the plan God has for me. A friend of mine told me a couple weeks ago “Never change your goals to fit your relationship, because your relationship should fit your goals.” (Thanks Ansley!) What she didn’t know was God had been trying to teach me that for years and she was just confirming what I had been talking to God about!

God allowed the heartbreaks and the money issues to happen in my life because he need me to learn and master these things before, he elevated me up.

What in your life has been causing you to go in circles? Whatever it is put it before God and he will show you the way out.

It’s time to learn that lesson(s) God has been trying to teach you in order to level up! God wants to level us up, but we must master these things now because each level in life will get harder...

You don't always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust God, let go and see what happens..
